Lapland Municipal Federation

Lapland Municipal Federation is an association of the municipalities of Kiruna, Gällivare, Jokkmokk, and Pajala that collaborates in upper secondary education, adult education, energy and climate counseling, procurement, and personal representatives. The region has about 55,000 inhabitants and covers over 60,000 square kilometers. Approximately 350 employees work within the federation.

Lapland Gymnasium is the joint upper secondary organization for Gällivare, Jokkmokk, Kiruna, and Pajala. Our four schools together offer about 20 programs and have a total of around 2000 students, located in Sweden's largest and most distance-dependent region. Our school organization is situated in Sweden's largest region, where distances can be significant, but we always strive to be close and accessible to our students and staff. Far away but still close. Our vision is to offer unique and attractive education of the highest quality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with teachers and assist them with whatever they may need help with. You will also help and support students who are assessed to need this. A certain amount of teaching may be included in the position, depending on your previous experience.

You have a great interest in guiding and supporting students in their learning as well as working with other tasks included in the assignment.

You have documented experience working with youth with neuropsychiatric disabilities. We also prefer that you have experience planning and conducting lessons.

You have a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge and their different conditions. Furthermore, you adapt the activities to ensure that all students can achieve as much as possible and adjust the way you convey your message to the recipient.

QUALIFICATIONS

You possess experience and education that the employer deems suitable for the assignment. You have a background in support work in educational activities. You preferably have some form of pedagogical higher education. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.
